Went on a pretty amazing triple-date tonight to a steampunk “Alice in Wonderland”-themed haunted house. It wasn’t scary per-say, but it was creepily curiouser and curiouser (sorry, couldn’t resist that one).
After about a minute Kevin and I were on our own in a tiny dark room with several little ‘Alice’s as they made me repair a mirror to get out, while Ken and Cassie moved onwards - leaving Danny behind to catch up to the rest of us. That was what I loved most about the event I think, besides it’s theme: the fact that you could go in as a group and then be separated to go off on your own individual adventure. I won’t give everything away, but I will say that I managed to defeat the Jaberwocky after growing, shrinking, and eating lots of jellybeans (instead of cookies and ‘Drink Me’ potions).
All-in-all, I recommend anyone in the Manhattan area to go out and enjoy this random and fun “haunted” house while it lasts. Hell, I may go back again tomorrow night after the Village parade!
tonighttttt!! so excited to not have classes on fridays!
